The Brooklyn Historical Society, built in 1881 and designed by George B. Post, is a New York City Landmark. At Jan Hird Pokorny Associates, Jane worked on an extensive multi-phased project for the Historical Society including a Historic Structure Report, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration for complete interior and exterior restoration. The scope included restoration of brick, terra cotta, decorative metals, plaster, woodwork, doors, hardware, and stained glass, new windows, replication of historic lighting from photographs, and installation of museum grade HVAC systems within the historic fabric of the building.  Photos by Robert Motzkin.
